About the Program
We are pleased to announce Pat Irot as our presenter for the OCLA Fall 2007 Program! Pat’s presentation will include information about the Placentia History Collection, including the Local Authors Collection. In addition, Pat will share her knowledge of the numerous historic sites in Placentia. The evening will include a viewing of a
documentary on the 1938 Placentia flood. Light refreshments provided. About Pat Irot
Pat Irot, formerly of the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District, is a retired educator with a passion for history and her community. Pat has been involved with the Placentia History Collection since 1991. She has also been active in the Orange County Heritage Coordinating Council, Friends of the Placentia Library, Placentia Round Table Women’s Club, and Meals on Wheels. Pat provided the historical background for Placentia, Fullerton, Yorba Linda, Anaheim, and Brea for use in the public school local history curriculum. She is a former Citizen of the Year for Placentia.
About OCLA: OCLA is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3). Program fees support OCLA’s annual scholarship and special project grants.
